Luminair Pro is available as an upgrade within Luminair 4 . Both product levels give you the same core feature-set. Luminair Pro adds support for up to four DMX universes (2048 DMX Channels), scheduling, and additional tools designed to assist with permanently integrating Luminair into a venue or facility.
Control Luminair Pro from other DMX lighting consoles, simple DMX controllers, or even DMX wall switches.
DMX Input triggers allow you to map incoming DMX values to trigger specific Luminair scenes. Multiple scenes can be mapped to a single incoming DMX channel by assigning each to a different DMX range.
Triggers can also be assigned to various global commands throughout the app, like Start and Stop playback, Blackout, Next and Previous scene or sequence, plus more.
Make Luminair the centerpiece of an architectural lighting system.
Scheduling features included in Luminair Pro allow you to schedule any scene or sequence to be triggered at a specific date and time. A simple user interface for adding and editing schedules makes it a breeze to set up daily triggers.
A GPS-powered astronomical clock is available for starting schedules based on real-world times like Sunrise, Sunset and more.
Enabling Luminair's Lockdown mode with Face ID/Touch ID will prevent access from unauthorized users in permanent installations.
Integrate Luminair directly into your facility's infrastructure with support for HomeKit wall switches. When Luminair is running on the network, you can map any scene to any HomeKit button switches.
Global triggers like Start and Stop playback, Blackout, Next and Previous scene, and more are also available for mapping.
With support for HomeKit lights and outlets also included in Luminair, you can create complex lighting rigs that totally integrate with your venue of facility. Choose from switches from Signify (Hue), Eve Systems, Aqara, RunLessWire (via Hue), Wemo Stage Scene Controller and all other HomeKit-compatible button triggers.

For over a decade, our users have been doing just that. Luminair app is the go-to mobile lighting control solution for creative professionals working in Film, TV and stage production, as well as architecture, event venues, art installations, rental houses, and everywhere else creative lighting is used.
It's time to break free from traditional conventions and embrace the latest in software technology and modern user interfaces, for ultimate control over your lighting designs.
Luminair 4’s new cloud-based DMX fixture library has been greatly enhanced, utilizing rich profile data that we’ve licensed from Carallon, the industry's leading fixture profile service for control and console manufacturers.
Interact with DMX lights using real-world input values like Hertz or Degrees. Gobos, Gels and other media selections are displayed directly above faders, editable with just a single tap/click. The new DMX range selection tool shows individual channel metadata and names, instead of just a generic DMX or percentage value.
The library contains almost 24,000 profiles and supports just about every common DMX light ever made. Profiles for fixtures new-to-market are continuously being added.
In the rare event that a profile doesn't already exist, you can even create one directly within the app.
Remote Device Management (RDM) allows bi-directional communication between lights and controllers over standard DMX cables.
New in Luminair 4 is beta support for RDM through Art-Net interfaces.
With this exciting new development you can now detect and add RDM compatible fixtures to your Luminair projects. Luminair automatically sets the DMX channel and selects the correct mode for any light that matches an RDM-enabled profile in the built-in library. Easy.
Additional RDM fixture details like Lamp Hours, Modes, Channel Counts, Software version, and more are also available at any time in the Connections window.
Complete wireless freedom and rock-solid reliability are both within your reach. Luminair 4 transmits DMX over the device’s built-in Wi-Fi hardware. It also supports wired-ethernet connections for robust data transmission.
Luminair supports one universe of DMX over Art-Net, sACN E1.31, and KiNET (Philips Color Kinetics). It also supports CRMX via LumenRadio MoonLite BLE interface.
All DMX-based protocols can be output simultaneously in Luminair, allowing you to mix and match hardware with ease..
Modern LED lighting has become almost synonymous with color, and Luminair was built from the beginning to control it.
The app offers an extensive array of color editing tools. RGB, RGBAW, CMY, HSI, XY, Gel, CCT, and Tint color pickers are always just a tap/click away.
Drag and drop customized color swatches under the color wheel. Adjust individual channels in the color mixer. Gel colors are available from popular manufacturers including Lee, Apollo, GAM, and more. Apply the gel colors to any color light in Luminair, even HomeKit lights.
Color settings are saved within scenes and automatically updated when activating, making it simple to support multiple color selection types for a single light, all within the same project.
Control moving lights with ease using Luminair's XY picker. Select from presets like oval, figure 8, arc, line, or draw your own custom shape. The movement generator updates the user interface in realtime allowing you to see the exact values the light is receiving.
Lock movements to either Pan or Tilt. Fine tune position with a scrub control. Inverse X and Y allows you to flip values. An Offset option allows you to stagger identical movements across lights.
Movements are saved into a palette that displays a preview of the animated shape. Each movement can be applied to multiple lights, making edits as simple as changing the original movement. The movement editor makes adjusting options like timing curve, speed, start/end points, reverse, and more a snap.
Luminair’s DMX FX engine updates the user interface in realtime, always giving you a heads-up look at the current values being output.
Dazzle your audience or create drama using effects like the Oscillator, Random Intensity/Color, Fade In, Color Loop, Fire, Water, Television, Police, Warning, Alarm and more.
When grouping fixtures, you can use the Group FX Offset option to automatically create a delayed fan effect across multiple lights.
Save FX settings as "Presets" and apply those options later to any similar light with a single action.
NOTE: When using FX, we recommend using ethernet-based connections for robust data transmission.
Control just about any conventional light or outlet alongside your DMX lights, all within the same project.
