Synthe FX makes lighting control products for professionals, enthusiasts and others working in live entertainment, film/tv production, architecture, and everywhere else creative lighting is used.
It's been said that we make some exceptional lighting control apps. Not “apps” in the traditional sense, but desktop-quality software packaged in a touch friendly format. Apps that reinvent and replace functionality previously only available in dedicated devices costing thousands of dollars.
We believe in a future where all creative tools (even programmable lighting controllers with FX engines and movement generators and that sort of thing) can be as ubiquitous and simple to use as drawing with pen and paper. Our goal is to provide users with powerful tools that allow them to interact more closely with their creative work, and it's been a successful endeavor so far.
We’ve been building Mac and iOS apps since 2006 and are extremely proud of the little dents our products have made on this planet. Luminair for iPhone was the first commercially available lighting control app released for iOS in July 2008, just weeks after the App Store first launched. Luminair for iPad received a Lighting Control Product of the Year by Live Design Magazine in 2012.
Luminair has frequently been featured by Apple, Inc. in large TV, web and retail store advertisements around the world.
Notable projects where Luminair has been used are TV shows like Homeland, Modern Family, Dallas, Nashville, The Next Food Network Star, as well as films like the Oscar-winning Life of Pi.
Most importantly, Luminair has been extremely highly rated by it's user-base, which now reaches into every corner of the globe.
And the thing is, 16 years into developing Luminair, we still feel like we’re just getting started.
